So far so good: we’ve sold a few tickets online to TTUMC’s Fall Festival at Lupton’s Boggy Bottom Barbeque Ranch, which will take place 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. (I’m sure we’ve sold many more tickets by cash or check.) Accepting money online through credit cards or PayPal is a new step for us at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church. Our hope is that it will make attending the Fall Festival more convenient, especially for adults and children who don’t normally stop by the church. If you know any families who like to pay online, let them know about the online ticket sales. Obviously we will sell tickets for check or cash as well. (The church phone number is 813-988-4141.) The tickets are $10 adults, $6 kids age 3-9 before the event. Ticket prices go up by $2 at the gate.
Anyone who is not sure whether to come should tell their kids about the…
- Pumpkin painting
- Face painting
- All-you-can-eat BBQ dinner
- Dessert at the ice cream sundae bar
- Hayride around the grounds
- Music and games
- The dunk tank
…and let the kids decide for the whole family. That sounds fair to me!

Ed,
The child of God in me wants to come!
